Hello,
My pre-professional student lifestyle is all about experimenting with with food that fits my budget. In short, my lifestyle as a student reflects how I can keep myself properly nourished on my own.
My friends, I’ve found the joy of Sushi.
The book that taught me about the basic inventory items needed for sushi is Easy Sushi by Emi Kazuko, and it’s an easy read with many secrets. So, one day on my bicycle, on I rode to the Oriental food store and bought some goods. The whole trip cost me just under 30.- USD

All you need for Sushi @ Home
After learning to use the book as a reference, I built up my confidence in making the rice, and preparing the rolls. Its really great fun.

Its as Easy as Cutting
Now, as you can see from the picture, the ends of the sushi are a little excess. They are most likely the scratch-and-dent portions of the sushi when you’re beginning. It’s important in the sense of cleanliness to clean your knife, and work on a friendly surface.

Sushi Dinner for Two
My friend Sean came down and we made a plate of Sushi together. It’s rewarding to make sushi with a friend, because not only are you teaching through experience, but you are making memories and it’s nice to sit down with a steamed bun in the end and eat your sushi.

Inside out Sushi
As I was walking through the Whole Foods Market the next week, I was browsing the Sushi for ideas on what to put into mine next. I can contest that 98 percent of the sushi on the shelves had the rice on the outside. So I decided that i would try this technique at home, the following night. With the use of some cellophane, i could turn my sushi rolls inside out. I learned that above all, this technique adds excitement to the table, and flash as a sushi smith. beyond that, I am unaffected by it’s presentation.

Sushi Goes Well With Tea
Add some loose tea to the table with your newly made cucumber roll, and you’ve got yourself an amazing, inexpensive, and beautifully designed dinner.
Enjoy,

PS. Check out the new sushi, i swear this stuff costs like nothing to make and once you get into the rhythm, it’s soul healing and poetic. You use your hands throughout most of the process, even taking care of the rice like a very fragile plant.
